“Age 50 was just around the corner when I first went to Pitman to enquire about courses. I wanted to improve my work prospects and confidence; it began to show badly in job interviews. I decided on a Business Skills Diploma, which seemed both realistic and challenging. Paula, James and Kiri were always ready with their expertise and professional help and I can only say that the months passed and my enthusiasm and skills grew.
I did not have to wait long to find work: shortly after starting my Business Skills course I was taken on by recruitment agencies for short-term contracts in administration and I was able to work and study at the same time. I am now the proud owner of a Business Skills Diploma and in a full-time and permanent administration job.
My current job has also led to work in the accounting field and I went on to take a Pitman book-keeping certificate followed by the purchase ledger certificate. My confidence is back and I feel I can undertake any work challenge thrown my way! I have to thank Pitman for changing my life and for the encouragement they have always shown me.
