Melanie West, Microsoft Office Diploma
After feeling like a lack of knowledge in computers was holding her career back, Melanie West decided to undergo Pitman Training’s Microsoft Office Diploma to boost her confidence and career prospects.
“I chose to study with Pitman because my mum had taken a course with them when she was younger. I took the Microsoft Office Diploma because I wanted to move to a more research-based type of work and being computer literate was essential for me to move in this direction.
“The learning experience was straightforward and the more I learnt, the more confident I became in my abilities. The team at Pitman were always there to help either in the office or by telephone. Any time I needed assistance I received it. Before I completed this diploma, I had limited computer knowledge. However, thanks to Pitman, I have a great new skillset and no longer feel dread when I’m shown a computer screen.
“My advice to anyone thinking about taking a course with Pitman would be to go for it. You don’t have to give up all your spare time with good organisation and time management, you can study and still enjoy your time off.”
