Pitman Training in Cork is located at the NCE campus, in Farrenferris, Blackpool, Cork. This vibrant Training and Development Centre on the Northside of Cork City boasts a range of subsidised services for Pitman Training students including:

The centre offers the largest range of courses in Cork with little or no experience required for the vast majority of these. Pitman Training Cork offer the most flexible training opportunities, with courses available for full-time, part-time, flexi-study, evening and weekend study as well as through our blended-learning homestudy option.
An interesting fact about Pitman Training Cork is that all tutors are former students. This means that they are able to advise and help you through your up-skilling and training successfully using their own experience as a guide.
The owners, Tomás Finneran and Kristian O’Donovan, also run a successful international eLearning company where they have pioneered and have extensive experience in recruiting both nationally and internationally across a variety of roles including IT technical, secretarial and accounting positions.
Since opening in 2008, Pitman Training Cork has built up strong working relationships with local recruitment agencies including Chase Resourcing, as well as local employers such as hospitals, legal firms and IT companies, giving our students the best possible chance of securing their ideal job. In 2010, the centre celebrated the award for Ireland’s fastest growing Pitman Training centre.

We are pleased to announce that we have recently appointed Sarah Williams to our Tutor team.
Sarah has recently joined our team and will be looking after the centre here in Cork and helping to guide our students with their courses.
Sarah knows all about Pitman Training courses having successfully completed a Secretarial Diploma at Pitman Training Cork in 2010 and was snapped up by a blue-chip international company before she had even completed her Diploma! So Sarah brings a wealth of training experience and industry insight to the centre.

Getting Technical - More IT Courses launched in January 2012
IT Technical courses are for people who want to be able to fix computer problems, install systems and generally look techie and impressive.
The starting point for the IT Technical profession is A+, which is a low-cost investment in a course covering the industry standard CompTIA syllabus (recognized worldwide). Having gained your qualifications and proved your skills you can look forward to a job manning IT Help Desks or Hotlines and then progress, with further training, to higher level IT technical careers.
The IT and Technical sector is one of the few industries in Ireland with a skills shortage…get these skills and employers will snap you up. We already have many success stories of students who start these courses and get job offers before ever completing their courses!
Pitman Training Home Study
Pitman Training in Cork is delighted to announce the arrival of a NEW home study option for their students around the county. This new system will allow our students to continue to study at home even when the centre is closed. This flexible option will include live chat and support with our centre tutors including a video link so you’re never alone. A remote support system will also be available in the coming months. Directions
By Taxi: There are taxi ranks at the Train Station, Bus Terminal and in the town centre.
By Rail: The train station is approximately a 10 minute taxi ride to Pitman Training.
From City Centre: From N. Mall / Pope’s Quay, turn onto Shandon Street, and continue straight onto Gerald Griffin Street into Blackpool Village. Turn left at the traffic lights onto O’Connell Street, you should pass Neptune Stadium on your left, take the next right at the traffic lights opposite St. Vincent’s Secondary School, and the NCE Campus (where Pitman Training is located) is the 2nd left on this road.
Sat-Nav: Search for “Redemption Rd, Cork” and driving from the city, take the 2nd left once on this road.
