Awarding Excellence in Carlow and Kilkenny
The Annual Student Conferring evening for Pitman Training students from Carlow and Kilkenny takes place this year in the Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow, on March 25th at 7pm. Diplomas and Certificates will be presented to students who successfully completed their exams and graduated during the last year. This is an informal evening that has been highly successful event in the past at which students’ families are friends are very welcome to attend and join in the celebrations. Invitations have been sent to all students but if you have any queries please contact your local Pitman Training Centre.

Come along to Opportunity Carlow on 31st March
‘Opportunity Carlow’, to be held on Thursday, 31st March, is a unique event aimed at the unemployed, school leavers, graduates, early start-up enterprises and people looking at job and career options in the future.
The event will feature a host of speakers from Industry as well as experts in the area of enterprise, innovation, creativity and education. The ‘Opportunity Carlow’ event will also include a great range of exhibitors, specifically some 30 local support agencies including Pitman Training – we’d love to see you there! The event is definitely worth a visit and is being held at the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow on 31st March. Doors open at 9am and you can visit any time until midday. Admission is free.
Job Seekers and Education Info
Pitman Training took part in the EXPO 2010 exhibition at MacDonagh Junction in Kilkenny which provided a wealth of information and opportunities for Job Seekers. There were over 15 stands all imparting information to would be Job Seekers and those interested in returning to education to up skill themselves for new areas of employment in the future.
Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Catherine Connery stated: “Expo 2010 at McDonagh Junction is an important initiative showing positive local leadership bringing job information to the people of Kilkenny and surrounding counties, with far reaching potential for the national stage. Compliments go to those involved in creating this brainchild and MacDonagh Junction in particular and to all who are cooperating so enthusiastically. I wish success to all involved”.
