Learn how to touch type accurately, using the correct keyboard technique. This may help to reduce the risk of RSI (repetitive strain injury).

Develop skills and understanding of routine and complex business documents and the conventions used in their production and presentation.
Communication at Work
Learn how to communicate effectively in the workplace using verbal and non-verbal communication. Understand the principles and structure of written communication.
Professional Receptionist Seminar
A one-day seminar which will give the individual an understanding of the importance of the receptionist’s role and how to project the best image for their company.
Microsoft Word
Learn word processing skills to a good business standard. This will enable you to create professional looking documents, produce tables, insert pictures and much more.
Microsoft Outlook
Learn how to share, manage and schedule information electronically. Covers the use of email, electronic calendar, scheduling meetings and appointments; creating and
assigning tasks and creating address lists.

Your Pitman Training Diploma will be issued upon successful completion of the core and elective subjects. Students must attend the Professional Receptionist Seminar and a maximum of one ‘course completed’ subject is accepted. Students should fully discuss all terms and conditions of diploma study with a course advisor.
